Week 301: Big Fan

It’s been a super lazy week, I’ve enjoyed it immensely.

My only real social activity was a few drinks after work on Thursday. Nothing too carried away and nothing too expensive (the main goal).

It’s hot again. Our flat is hot again. I finally caved and bought a fan, we’ve been living without any real cooling but I’m fed up. It arrives tomorrow and I’m excited. The cats have finally learned that it’s cooler in the shade, here they are chilling in the entrance to our flat and enjoying the breeze without the sun for once.

Ivo tells me I should rename the “Kittens” tag to “Cats” which is more correct but then all the old kitten posts will be tagged less correctly and I’ll also have to set up redirects and stuff which I cba with. I went back and had a look and Tootsie had his own tag which feels a bit unfair. Would it be better to tag each post with both “Tom Barnaby” and “Douglas Fir”? Maybe? Let me have a think after this weeknote.

Update: New tagging system for cats. “Kittens” is for when cats are actually kittens, “Cats” is for adult cats, “Tom Barnaby” and “Douglas Fir” are tags for specific lads.

I started reading Mistborn today and I’m 25% of the way through book one already. I enjoy it. I haven’t read any Brandon Sanderson and there’s a lot available which is good!

I bought some square and hex grid paper for D&D and decided to try doing battlemaps there instead of digitally in our next session. I just can’t really gel with D&D Beyond’s virtual tabletop and I know I enjoy pen and paper. Let’s see how it goes! Luke made me think of this when he was doing some world-building on paper, ideas flow more freely and so I’m gonna switch mine up too.
