Week 295: Minehead
I spent a bunch of time this week glue-gunning LEDs into a T-shirt so I could dress up as the night sky. I gave up after LED #80, it looked good! I don’t think I’ve used a hot glue gun since I was a child, there were some real sense memories locked up in the activity.
I was dressing up for a Space themed night at a Butlins 2000s weekender, this time for Charlotte’s birthday down in Minehead. Minehead is quite pretty, the Butlins less so but it was a lot of fun.
On Friday we dressed as various space objects and did a room crawl between the four different chalets our friends had rented. Our was the worst despite us paying the most 👍 it was great though, we each made signature cocktails then went to watch A1.
Saturday we dressed as Pitbull again (gotta get our money’s worth out of these costumes) because the quite good tribute act Pitbull UK was playing. Then Daniel Beddingfield tried his hand at garage with a few of his own songs thrown in. Both great 👏 this was after a ridiculous bottomless brunch.
It was a fun weekend. I don’t really remember what happened in the week really aside from doing lots of stuff in my capacity as a union rep.
Something something this weather eh? Our work sportsday got moved and we got told we shouldn’t try to head into the office if it’s unsafe to. Difficult choices: walking 35 minutes in the heat to reach aircon or have a pleasant morning and a sticky afternoon in the flat?
