Week 285: Air-Dried
A short and sunny week. I hung the laundry outside and marvelled at how quickly it dried. That’s about the sum of the midweek excitement.
My boardgame group did try a new game, Res Arcana, which has some fun and interesting mechanics. Will probs add it to the regular roster.
Our weekend was busy: on Friday we went for dinner with Artem & Mila and got barked at by Cerberus, it was lovely, Brazilian pizza is great. On Saturday we went to visit Mo & Alice for board games and to meet their toddler, it was fun! We played Terracotta Army.
I spent a bit of time on Sunday working through some of the basic Godot tutorials, I’ve been feeling like I want to do a bit of game development and learn something different. I’m not gonna assume it’ll go anywhere, as I seem to have largely abandoned learning Rust.
My intro to coding was wanting to make games for me and my brothers (my very first programming language was GML), and the 2D stuff in Godot feels weirdly familiar tbh despite not doing anything like this for a couple of decades.
There’s a completion date set 😱 gonna need to rent a van soon!
